These began to pill during the first wear! After machine washing just once they look like the oldest socks in my sock drawer. Shocked at the poor quality of this expensive sock. Compression was light. Not like the knee high versions from this brand. Luckily I got them on sale, but that also means I can’t return them.

Thanks for your feedback, Jacqueline! That "pilling" is caused by the fibers in the fabric being abraded against a rougher surface ( i.e. denim jeans in the laundry, by rubbing against the insole of your shoes or walking on rough flooring.) It's fairly rare and it's not a product defect, and won't affect the wearability or durability of your socks.
I put these on daily for my long dog walks. Helps with my arthritis and bunions.

These ankle socks are amazing! I have worn in them during my work day for the past two days alternately sitting and standing at my desk for up to four hours at a time-No swollen feet and ankles!

Loving them! It helps with the swelling around my ankle after a tibia operation. The compression helps me to identify “where” my foot is as well since my nerve endings are firing up again. Its great to have an ankle version and not just the knee highs!
